Faith Winter was elected to Westminster City Council in November 2007. She was re-elected in November 2011 and selected as Mayor Pro Tem. She was selected as Mayor Pro Tem again in 2013.
Winter is currently executive director of Emerge Colorado. She also serves as chair of the Adams County Housing Authority and is mom to two amazing kids.
In 2004 Winter was named one of 30 people under 30 showing political leadership by the Youth Vote Coalition; in 2008 Winter was named one of the top 10 most influential women in Denver by the Denver Examiner; in 2010 she was named Woman of the year by Colorado Business and Professional Women, northwest chapter; and in 2012 Winter was named one of the up and coming women leaders to watch by the Denver Post.
Her community involvement includes Westminster Citizen's Police Academy graduate 2007; PR committee member for Habitat for Humanity; community organizer on the FasTracks project to bring light rail to the metro area; community organizer on Amendment 37 Renewable Energy Initiative; community organizer on the redevelopment of the Gates rubber factory; program director for a project that turned out over 90,000 young voters in 2004; community liaison on the I-70 East Environmental Impact Statement; Colorado Institute of Leadership Training graduate; Economic Development Big Horn fellow 2006; Environmental Leadership Institute graduate; Civic Leadership Institute graduate; co-chair of the Women's Legislative Breakfast, 2005 and 2006; and co-director of Girl Scouts Day at the capitol; project associate at a homeless shelter.
