Within its boundaries, Westminster hosts four diverse institutions of higher education: Front Range Community College, DeVry University, University of Phoenix, and Westwood College.

The state’s flagship research university, University of Colorado, is a mere 15 miles west. University of Denver, CU-Denver, and CU-Anschutz Medical Campus  are a short 20-minute drive to Denver proper. Colorado School of Mines and Colorado State University are also within easy commuting distance.
