Culture and Recreation
Made for Fun
With everything from an insect exploratorium to an expansive library, concerts to art festivals, miles of trails to first-class rec centers, you’ll have trouble deciding what to do first. As a mature and well-run city, Westminster sports an astonishing array of big-city amenities you’d expect to find in a much larger community. Check out Westminster parks and recreation, arts and entertainment, shopping, and attractions.
Quick access to U.S. 36 and I-25 mean that Westminster residents are just minutes away from attractions throughout Metro Denver. In under a half hour, you can drive to Hyland Hills Water World, Ocean Journey, Elitch Gardens Amusement Park, Denver Zoo, Denver Museum of Nature and Science, or Denver Art Museum. Shop at Flatiron Crossing or Pearl Street Mall. Take in major league sporting events courtesy of the Colorado Rockies, Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, or Colorado Avalanche. And if that’s not enough, head west a couple of hours into the Rocky Mountains for a day of skiing, snowshoeing, or hiking – and be back in time for dinner.
