The mission of the Department of Public Works and Utilities is to maintain and enhance the safety and well-being of the community by providing exceptional water and wastewater service and maintaining the city’s extensive network of street infrastructure. The department continuously strives to meet the needs of the community by constantly focusing on customer service, efficient and effective utilization of resources, safety, innovation, and teamwork. Capital Improvement Projects and Budget Management Division - capital improvement project management, maintenance/asset management program.

Water Resources and Treatment Division - water treatment, water quality, wastewater treatment, water conservation, reclaimed water, biosolids land application.

Utilities Operations Division – waterline replacement, wastewater collection system, meter reading services.

Street Operations Division – street improvement, street maintenance, traffic control signs, street sweeping, pothole repairs, snow and ice control, Large Item Cleanup Program.
