ADULT SUMMER READING PROGRAM!

To participate in the Westminster Public Library 2010 Adult Summer Reading Program DIVE INTO A GOOD BOOK , simply complete one or more of the activities found here. Complete only the activities you like, as often as you like. Each time you complete an activity, fill out and submit an entry form. The more you enter the better your chances of taking home a fabulous prize bag at the end of the summer. Have questions? Call 303-658-2603 for more information.

Ongoing Classes, Groups and Clubs

SPANISH CONVERSATION CLUB

Wednesdays, ongoing
College Hill, 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Join other Spanish speakers and practice your language skills in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Develop your Spanish and acquire confidence while making new friends in a relaxed informal setting. Themes and games will be used to encourage conversation. The goal is to speak only Spanish during club meetings. Ask at Information Desk for room assignment.   Call 303-658-2603 for more information.

JOB HUNT HELP

Wednesdays, 5-7 pm, Irving Street
Make the library your Job Search Central. Now, every Wednesday from 5-7, free one-on-one help is available to job hunters. Get help with online applications, resumes and cover letters, and looking for job openings.

FIBER FRIENDS

Sundays, 1:30-3:30 pm, College Hill

Do you like to Knit or Crochet? Are you looking for friendship, companionship, and field trips? Then join our Fiber Friends group to share patterns, ask questions, and show off your work!

COLLEGE HILL READING GROUP

Wednesdays, 7-8:30 pm, College Hill
Join us for a lively discussion of fiction and nonfiction.  Drop-ins welcome.
  • August 11:  Your favorite book or recommendation for the club
  • September 8:  Blindness by Jose Saramago
  • October 13:   A biography of any US President

CITIZENSHIP PREPARATION CLASSES

Saturdays, 10-11:30 am, Irving Street
Participants discuss and practice both written test questions and oral interview questions. Classes are open to all community members interested in finding out more about the citizenship process, not just those practicing for the test. No registration required.  Call 303-658-2313 for more information.  Co-sponsored by Voices.
